Do I have to register?
You do not have to register to use the site. Doing so simply removes advertisements.

How much does it cost to use OnlineMedEd?
Our videos and discussion are free. Always. The additional premium content is $70/month or $500/yr. There's also a rotating special that is somewhere in between the other two options. Group discounts are always available - email us here for more information.

What materials are offered by OnlineMedEd?
We currently have videos, discussion, notes, a question bank (1200+ qs), audio files, and cases of the week (clinical vignettes) covering over 200 topics across 18 specialties. At this point WE DO NOT plan on building out the premium content for the intern lecture series. We add and update material on a weekly basis - you get access to the site as is for your duration. If you'd like to see the notes/questions before buying Cardiology - Coronary Artery Disease is always free.

Why should I purchase a subscription?
First and foremost, you get significantly more content. The free videos will take you far but we believe the premium notes, question bank, audio podcasts, cases of the week (clinical vignettes), and progress dashboard will help master the material faster than any other resource available. Together, it's a comprehensive one-stop-shop that doesn't require additional resources to succeed on the tests and as a physician. Beyond that, it will offer you several options based on your learning style, help develop additional material, and allow us get the word out to everyone. In other words, it's more comprehensive and cheaper than the rest and you help move our mission forward.

I've found an error - where do I report it?
We apologize in advance! Please report errors here. We will review - if confirmed we will fix/mark as errata immediately and cite you for the find. Thank you!

What IS OnlineMedEd?
We are currently a 3rd/4th year curriculum replacement platform for medical students. Our focus is helping you through both years rotation by rotation, topic by topic. This is why we break everything into easily digestible pieces -> we want you to master the information as you go. However, all material is built to the tests. As such, it is also an excellent test-prep platform for wards and the Step 2.

What browser/hardware do I need?
The site is built on a framework that takes advantage of all modern browsers - it is responsive and will change based on the device you are on (mobile, tablet, computer). The minimum requirement is Google Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer 10. If you do not meet browser requirements the site will probably still work, but you won't get the bells and whistles.

How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions may be canceled via the billing section of the account page at any time. Your service will continue until the end of the billing period. Annual and special subscriptions are not auto-renewed.

Can I access the entire Question Bank at once?
Unfortunately, the highest level it is available in is by specialty. Access to the entire bank will be available in the next iteration of the site (eta July).

Can you explain what I'm looking at on the Dashboard?
The first chart covers progress and results on questions across the site. Click on a specialty to see progress by topic. A nearby donut chart also shows all videos completed. The activity monitor visualizes the time you've spent on the site since joining/in the last year - whichever is less (coming soon). Recently watched videos lets you know where you left off.

Is it possible to use OnlineMedEd offline?
If you are a subscriber podcasts and notes may be downloaded and used offline. Other content is only available online at this time.

I can't access OnlineMedEd through my firewall.
The network at your locale may have a firewall in place for security reasons. If you find problems, ask your tech support team to determine whether or not their settings are restricting access. We do utilize social logins (Facebook/Google) to facilitate the signup/in process.

Does your learning approach really produce improved test scores?
We are engaging in case studies with medical schools to demonstrate this claim. In the meantime, we used our personal experience, surveyed peers, analyzed available primary research, and worked with renowned medical educators to create our approach. Feedback to date has been incredibly positive and we're confident the result is a comprehensive and effective platform.

Can I alter the playback speed of the videos?
All videos being played in an HTML5 enabled browser (modern browsers) can be sped up or slowed down. Click the gear icon to reveal the speed option. Clicking on it lets you alter the pace.

How do I give feedback?
Topic-specific feedback can be given in discussion under the video on every topic page. You can also submit feedback through this form.

What do you do with my information? Your information is safe and secure. We do not sell it to any 3rd parties. We are simply curious who is using our product and where they come from. We are trying to disrupt a well-established machine - as such, it is essential we know our strengths and weaknesses.

How do I reset my password and/or change my email?
If your account login is via Facebook or Google the password is the one linked to that service and must be changed through it. If you signed up via email you may change your password on the account page. Your email may be updated on the account page as well.

Is there an index of videos with duration times? I need to plan out my studying.
Yes - it is available here.

Is there customer support?
Yes - please ask those questions here. We will respond within 24 hours - at the moment we are two people strong and still working in the clinic.

Is there a running list of updates/changes made to the content/site?
Not currently on the website. Due to demand we are tracking changes on our LinkedIn page. We also mention updates on FB (when you like, make sure to select "get notifications"!) and periodically send emails detailing major additions. The next iteration of the site will have a dedicated page that is easy to find.

What's your refund policy?
All sales are final and non-refundable, as outlined in the terms of service. That said, we're good people - email us and we'll see what can be done
